NEW JERSEY— Asian Americans in New Jersey have the most enjoyable life, according to American Human Development Project’s latest study. World Journal reports that Asian Americans in New Jersey score 9.6 out of 10 in the well-being index, which is calculated using data on life expectancy, education and income level of a particular ethnic group. By contrast, Asian Americans in Louisiana only score 5.84 based on the same research. Moreover, on average, Asian Americans are the healthiest ethnic group in the country, scoring 7.5 on a national well-being index, with an average life expectancy of 86.6 years. Chinese Americans in New Jersey reacted to the findings with surprise. They said longer life expectancy is great, but it also means better retirement planning and elder services are needed.
