HONOLULU -- Lynn Berbano Finnegan, a 39-year-old Filipino American whose parents came from Aparri, Cagayan, is the Republican Party's nominee for lieutenant governor of Hawaii. She trounced her opponent, a well-known Honolulu female attorney, by a 2-1 margin in the Sept. 18 primary. Berbano Finnegan is one of 19 Filipino Americans who won nominations in the heavily Democratic state.
