A News Briefing on the Impact of Flu-Related Complications and the Importance of Getting Vaccinated from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) released a new recommendation in 2010 that urges everyone over the age of 6 months to get vaccinated as a protective measure against influenza. It is important to increase vaccination among multicultural groups who are, according to new research data, disproportionately affected by flu viruses.

Join a panel of both national influenza experts from the CDC and local immunization representatives for an in-depth conversation about the dangers of influenza and the vaccine that protects against it. This is your opportunity to ask leading experts about who’s at risk, how it might impact ethnic minority communities and the availability, effectiveness, safety and efficacy of the vaccine.

Date: Thursday, September 7th, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Address:

Denaína Civic & convention center
(Kahtnu Meeting Room)
