Yael Heronski's documentary A Film Unfinished gives us a glimpse of what ordinary life was like in the ghetto. What is most chilling about the film are the scenes are from nazi propaganda films, shot in the ghetto, using its jewish inhabitants as actors playing parts in a story that would end with their own destruction.

A Film Unfinished opens today in the Bay Area.
