 A CDC News Briefing on the Impact of Flu-Related Complications and the Importance of vaccination

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a new recommendation to begin with the 2010-2011 flu season that urges everyone over the age of 6 months to get vaccinated as a protective measure against influenza. It is important to increase vaccination among multicultural groups who are, according to new research data, disproportionately affected by influenza.

Join a panel of both national influenza experts from the CDC and local immunization representatives for an in-depth conversation about the dangers of influenza and the vaccine that protects against it. This is your opportunity to ask leading experts about who’s at risk, how it might impact ethnic and minority communities and the availability, effectiveness, safety and efficacy of the vaccine.
