Pakistani American entrepreneur Najeeb Ghauri presided over the NASDAQ closing bell today to raise U.S. awareness of the flooding in Pakistan, reports Pakistan Link. Mr. Ghauri, the CEO of NetSol Technologies, presided over the bell along with the CEO of International Medical Corps as well as a senior executive of the U.S. Pakistan Business Council. "The U.S.-based Pakistani communities have donated millions of dollars, but with winter approaching, the need for donations is more urgent than ever," said Mr. Ghauri.

NetSol's own facilities were not affected by the floods, but he said NetSol has donated considerable time and money to the flood victims. "The rebuilding and rehabilitation of affected areas in Pakistan will take years, and we need Americans to support this noble cause," he said. NetSol is a U.S. corporation providing global business services and enterprise application solutions to private and public sector organizations worldwide.
