NOGALES, Ariz. -- Sonora state police are investigating the death of a young man who was reportedly shot by a U.S. Border Patrol agent while trying to cross the border into Nogales, Ariz., reports EFE. The boy, 17, died from a bullet that pierced the lung and spleen, according to police. The victim was reportedly scaling the border fence when an agent shot him, causing him fall to the ground on the Mexican side.

Last May, an immigrant was beaten and tased by American immigration officers when he resisted deportation, causing injuries that led to his death. Soon afterward, a 14-year-old boy was fatally shot by a Border Patrol agent after he threw rocks from the Mexican side of the border.
