MANILA – Looks like Manny Pacquiao has a long way to go before retirement. This was declared by Top Rank promotions chief Bob Arum who had chatted with the Fighter of the Decade last December.

"[He won't retire] before 2013. He told me that on the day of his (32nd) birthday in the Philippines," the boxing promoter said in a Boxingscene.com report.

Arum specified that the 8-division world champ Pacquiao still wants to extend his boxing career with at least 2 fights a year.

"Between 2011, 2012 and 2013, he plans to have 6 fights," he said.

Pacquiao has been asked to hang up his gloves by his mother, Dionesia, and a sports analyst, after defeating Mexican Antonio Margarito in November. In the feat, he had bagged the World Boxing Council (WBC) super welterweight crown, his eighth world title.
