MANILA—The meeting between the world’s most powerful man and the world’s best boxer is scheduled for Feb. 15. Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao confirmed he received the invitation to the White House during an interview last Saturday.

Pacquiao, who’ll be accompanied by wife Jinkee to the White House, says he holds Barack Obama in high esteem and is excited to meet the U.S. president.

The boxing champ is slated to leave for Los Angeles on Wednesday to kick off preparations for his May 7 showdown with American Shane Mosley for the World Boxing Organization welterweight crown at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
