Backstreet Boys to Play Vietnam

The Backstreet Boys, one of the biggest teen-pop groups of the 1990s and 2000s, arrived in Saigon this week, ready for its first-ever shows in the country.

Two shows will be held in Saigon’s Military Zone No.7 Stadium today, and in Ha Noi’s My Dinh National Stadium on Saturday.

According to Water Buffalo Productions, the event organizer, around 55,000 tickets were expected to be sold for the band’s “This Is Us” concerts in Viet Nam at prices ranging from $25 to $100.

Many of the Backstree tBoys’ greatest hits still enjoy wide popularity in Viet Nam.

The group is now teaming up with another boy band, New Kids on the Block, to form a supergroup known as NKOTBSB, which will tour the world this summer.
