MIAMI -- President Obama will appear Monday on Univision to answer questions about Latinos and education in a town hall meeting broadcast from Bell Multicultural High School in Washington, D.C. The televised forum, called “Es El Momento – El Presidente, Los Hispanos y la Educación” (The Time is Now: The President, Hispanics and Education), airs at 7:00 p.m. PDT and 7:00 p.m. EDT Monday, March 28. It will also be streamed online on www.EsElMomento.com in English and Spanish and simulcast on Univision Radio.

The forum, hosted by Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, will give Obama the chance to engage in a dialogue with students, parents and teachers on the issue of education and Latino educational attainment.

Topics to be discussed include better preparing students for college and 21st-century careers, greater parental engagement in education, and the politics of reforming the education system.

Students, parents and teachers have the opportunity to submit an education-related question for President Obama online at Univision.com.

The community forum with President Obama is part of Univision's "Es El Momento" initiative, which aims to foster a culture of college aspiration by involving parents and youth in educational issues and connecting the Latino community with information and resources to help increase their academic success.
