Arab American Becomes New Owner of Detroit Pistons
Gores, who is of Palestinian-Lebanese descent, is founder and owner of private equity investment firm Platinum Equity, based in Beverly Hills, Calif. He paid $325 million for the team, previously owned by late Bill Davidson, whose wife Karen took it over when he died in 2009. Gores moved to Flint, Mich. with his family as a child in 1968.
At a press conference last week, he said he plans to bring in more inner-city families and youth from Detroit to attend games at the Auburn Hills stadium. He couldn't attend Pistons games when he was younger because all he had “was a bike to ride,” he said.
Gores also mentioned increasing team competitiveness.
"If we go back to those core values that the franchise is known for and work hard, the wins will come,” he said.

This guy is an anti semite, even though he is a semite himself.
His anti Jewish and anti Israel rants are a disgrace to the NBA.
Detroit as a city has gone to the dogs.
The Pistons have gone to a racist, no good owner.
From now on, as long as he remains the owner, the Pistons are
on the same hate level as the Heat are.
