Mayweather Dad Bets on Pacquiao
Surprise. Floyd Mayweather Sr. is betting money on Manny Pacquiao over Juan Manuel Marquez in the Filipino boxing champion's November 12 meeting with his old nemesis.
"Man, Marquez is an old fighter," says the father of Floyd Mayweather Jr. "I like him as a fighter, but Marquez won't put up the same fight this time around against Pacquiao."
The statement comes as a surprise given the animosity existing between the Filipino boxing icon and the Mayweathers, whom Pacquiao sued in court over their allegations that the world's top pound-for-pound fighter takes performance-enhancing drugs.
