South Carolina Governor Signs Immigration Law
WASHINGTON – South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley signed an immigration bill today that requires police to check the immigration status of individuals they suspect might be in the country illegally. The bill is modeled after similar immigration laws passed in Arizona, Georgia and Indiana, although federal judges have blocked key parts of those laws from going into effect.
