When Africa's biggest country was divided in two this year, not only was a land divided in half, but lives were changed forever. Most of us don't understand what happened, but for the Sudanese, the split was a massive change in their country and their lives.

Sudanese analyst Amir Ahmad Nasr spoke with New America Now Host Shirin Sadeghi about the past and the future of the old Sudan.
