LOS ANGELES -- A national poll released by impreMedia and Latino Decisions Monday indicates that Latino voters favor raising taxes on the wealthy over cutting services in order to balance the budget. Forty-six percent of respondents said that raising taxes on the rich was the only way to solve the budget crisis, while 37 percent said a combination of tax increases and budget cuts was needed. Only 7 percent said budget cuts alone would solve the problem. Of the U.S. general electorate, only 12 percent favor tax
increases without cuts.
