New York City - The 9/11 Memorial Preview Site is temporarily housed just a stone’s throw away from Ground Zero.

Here, guests get a sneak peak of what the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center would be like before it opens to the public this Sunday, the 10th year anniversary of 9-11.

A selection of artifacts from the museum’s growing permanent collections, such as debris from the fallen twin towers are currently on display.

Also featured here is a replica of Lady Liberty, covered with tributes such as uniform patches, mass cards, condolence notes and photos of victims and first responders who died in the September 11, 2001 terror attack.

Hundreds of tourists flock to the preview site daily.

“I feel bad and devastated,” said Maximo Laminoza of San Diego, California.
Among those honored in the museum are 18 victims of Filipino descent and two Filipinos who died on board the two planes that crashed into the twin towers.

“I think this is the place where those who lost their son, or their brother or their sister can console themselves, which is good,” said Marilyn Agustin.

The 9-11 Memorial opens on Sunday, while the museum will open in 2012.
