The 9/11 anniversary has been observed for ten years now but some Americans wonder if the time has come to move on from the horror of 9/11 to the reality of the post 9/11 world. New America Media's Richard Rodriguez is currently working on a book about the religions of the Middle East. He told New America Now Host Shirin Sadeghi that today the danger is not forgetting 9/11 but forgetting what America has become.

Today I listened Richard Rodriguez' insightful comments on the 9//11 orgy of grief we have witnessed these past days. I agree whole heartedly that it is an unwholesome ritual that must come to an end.

But how do we get that to happen?
