LOS ANGELES -- Pilar Marrero, senior political writer and columnist for La Opinión, is one of three leading Latina journalists to be honored Friday, Dec. 9 by the Los Angeles City Council in the city's first annual "Latinas in Media Day." The other journalists to be honored are Josefa Salinas, morning show news anchor and host of "The Community Review" on KHHT 92.3, and Luz Villarreal, producer for Dateline NBC.
