Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney said on Dec. 31, 2011 that he would veto the federal DREAM Act if elected president. "The question is if I were elected and Congress were to pass the DREAM Act, would I veto it and the answer is yes," Romney said during his campaign in Le Mars, Iowa. The federal DREAM Act would provide a path to legalization for qualifying undocumented students who are enrolled in college or the military.
