COLORADO COLLEGE TO RELEASE NEW POLL SHOWING BIPARTISAN SUPPORT FOR REGULATIONS, PROTECTIONS FOR PUBLIC LANDS

MONDAY, JAN. 30, 2012, 1 P.M. EST

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The results from the 2012 Colorado College State of the Rockies Conservation in the West poll will be released on a call with pollsters Lori Weigel (Republican) and Dave Metz (Democrat) on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at 1 p.m. EST.

The survey reveals that voters across the political spectrum - from Tea Party supporters to those who identify with the Occupy Wall Street movement - support upholding regulations and strengthening protections for clean air, clean water, and America’s parks and public lands for the sake of the economy, and their way of life.

Poll results include voter attitudes toward statewide elected officials in all six states (AZ, CO, MT, NM, UT, WY) and current preferences in key “toss-up” western Senate races.

WHAT: Republican pollster Lori Weigel and Democratic pollster Dave Metz, along with Colorado College economist Walt Hecox, Ph.D, will host a call detailing the surprising results of the 2012 Colorado College Western States Survey of voters in AZ, CO, NM, MT, UT, and WY.
