A provision of Georgia's state bill SB 458 that would have banned undocumented immigrants from state colleges and universities has been removed reports the Associated Press. According to Sen. Barry Loudermilk, who authored the bill, the provision did not have enough support in the House for the bill to move forward. The bill still would change some identification requirements for Georgia residents to apply for public benefits. If it passes in the House, the new version of the bill will return to the Senate for a vote.
