 What: Vaccines are among the most cost-effective and successful public health tools available for preventing disease and death. Through immunization, we can now protect children from 14 vaccine-preventable diseases before age two. While many parents may not have heard of these diseases or experienced their consequences, these diseases still circulate in the U.S and around the world. We must remain vigilant and protect our children with vaccines. National Infant Immunization Week, April 21 – 28, is a time to remind parents why vaccines are important and to make sure their children have all the recommended immunizations.

The Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC), the Southern Nevada Immunization Health Coalition (SNIHC) and the Nevada State Health Division invite you to join a panel of national and local experts for an in-depth conversation to learn about: importance of vaccinating according to the recommended schedule; the dangers of not immunizing children; and strategies and opportunities available to ensure that all children in your community remain healthy and protected with vaccines.
