A growing number of Korean American immigrants are being scammed by Korean brokers offering to help them get driver's licenses, the Korea Times reports.

Many of these brokers work in Washington, where residents can get driver's license regardless
of their immigration status. In order to take advantage of this, however, drivers must prove that they live in the state. Undocumented immigrants from other states have been paying the brokers to forge proof of residence, Korea Times reports.

As more and more people report getting scammed, victims across the nation have organized an online
group to find additional victims and deal with the problem. Interpol Korea will also join the investigation.

Experts warn that forging documents to get driver's license is a crime that can even lead to deportation.
