Univision Interviews Barack Obama
For the first time in the lead-up to an election, both U.S. presidential candidates addressed Latino voters in interviews this week on Spanish-language TV network Univision.
"I want you to acknowledge that you did not keep your promise," news anchor Jorge Ramos told President Obama on Thursday, noting that the president didn't fulfill his promise to enact comprehensive immigration reform in his first year in office. Obama responded that his first year was consumed by efforts to help avoid a Great Depression, and added that Republicans in Congress had blocked attempts at immigration reform.
