WASHINGTON -- The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance on Wednesday launched a weeklong drive to deliver to U.S. Senators more than 2,700 postcards in support of comprehensive immigration reform. The postcards from across the country, many from Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities, coincide with the Senate's upcoming vote on the immigration reform bill.

AAPIs comprise 11 percent of all undocumented immigrants in the United States, but represent 15 percent of undocumented LGBT immigrants in the United States.
