Republican Gov. Rick Scott of Florida vetoed a bill Tuesday that would have allowed deferred action recipients to apply for a temporary driver's license, despite overwhelming suport for the legislation in the Republican-controlled state legislature. The proposed measure would allowed immigrants who have been approved under Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to apply for a temporary driver's license that would last for at least one year.
