Betty Pino, one of the most beloved radio personalities in South Florida, died Tuesday following a bacterial infection that left her hospitalized for nearly a month.

The Ecuadorean-born Pino was a fixture on Spanish-language radio where she championed the rise of Latin pop music. She hosted a music and entertainment news show on Univision Radio station Amor 107.5 FM in Miami.

She was known to her fans as the "Queen of Radio."
