LOS ANGELES—Agricultural entrepreneurs from the Philippines visited California over the past week to participate in an outbound business mission event to explore greater opportunities in exporting Philippine-made products to the United States.

The outbound business mission, dubbed as Barkadahan 2013, was organized by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service of the Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA-AMAS) together with the Philippine Consulates in San Francisco and Los Angeles and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The objective of the Business Mission was to promote Filipino products to the Filipino and Asian markets in the US, as well as in the mainstream market itself. -
