Driver's Licenses Available to Undocumented in California

As of Jan. 2, 2015, the California Department of Motor Vehicles is now able to grant driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants, thanks to California law AB 60. The driver's licenses issued to undocumented immigrants will include a small mark that will differentiate them from other licenses. La Opinión reports some good news for those who are eligible for deferred action: It is likely that their driver's licenses will not be marked, according to the DMV. Community leaders are encouraging people to apply for deferred action before applying for a driver's license, in order to avoid having this mark on their licenses.  Read more
