If you're going to be racist, you might as well be upfront about it. In Southern California, a woman who rented a cabin through Airbnb says the host abruptly canceled the reservation on her because she is Asian.

SoCal Woman Claims Airbnb Host Canceled Reservation Because of Her Race

Dyne Suh was looking forward to spending Presidents Day weekend in Running Springs with her fiance and friends. She reserved a cabin through Airbnb, but when she texted the host to confirm the reservation (while on her way to the cabin), the host refused to rent it to Suh, and made it pretty clear why.

"I wouldn't rent it to u if u were the last person on earth," the host told Suh in a text message exchange." One word says it all. Asian." Indeed, one word really does say it all. Thanks for making your racism super obvious.

"I will report to Airbnb that you are racist," Suh texted back.

"Go ahead...It's why we have Trump...I will not allow this country to be told what to do by foreigners," the host replied, before canceling the reservation.

Ah, yes. Donald Trump. The name you invoke while being an unabashed racist. This includes hate violence, racial slurs, vandalism, and now... refusing to rent your Airbnb cabin to Asians. People apparently think Trump in the White House works like some kind of get-away-with-racist-shit invisibility cloak.

The incident happened back in February, but recently came to light after a video taken the night of the racist exchange, went viral. The video includes screenshots of Suh's conversation with the host.

The short-term rental service has already received a great deal of negative press for racism in their services. Black users have been complaining for years about their troubles booking accommodations on the platform, and multiple studies have found that Airbnb's business model encourages discrimination against minority hosts and guests.

Airbnb spokesman Christopher Nulty called this host's behavior "abhorrent and unacceptable." In accordance with the company's non-discrimination policy, she has been banned from using the site.
